Issue: 23:Arrows on Marks
|
|
Description: Many of the marks on the Shannon Navigation are ambiguous and confusing, especially to newcomers. The situation is worse when marks are damaged or in need of paint. Isolated marks in the middle of channels cause particular difficulty.

Solution?: WI have already begun painting white arrows on the "Safe" side of marks and this makes them much clearer. This should be extended to all marks as soon as possible. (The white arrow solution only works on stakes and fixed beacons. It is unsuitable for floating marks.)

Action: WI have already begun this action but the timetable for completion is unknown.
